I have been trying to understand and/or solve why this is happening but it’s just !logic…
I am transmitting a byte (let’s say “A”) @ 1200 bps using a TLP434 433.9 Mhz with 9V, and it works just great as long as I keep transmitter and receiver as close as about 5 inches but as soon as they are separated a little bit more, I begin receiving another char (normally “@”), a little bit more, and nothing…
I know wireless is wireless, 5 inches wireless is absolutly legaly wireless, but I need a little bit more please…
One of my tests was using a led in the data ouput of the receiver, and then doing ON and OFF in the transmitter, let’s say 2 times per second. Led at the receiver works OK, but if separated about 5 inches, the led keeps flashing but this time it kinds of go from HALF light to FULL light when ON… is my TX/RX pair defective or something?
I started with 12 inches antennas, and I just tried adding some more inches with an aligator cable range has increased, but as soon as I move beyond 5 feet and transmission starts to fail.
I also tried transmiting at 600 bps, and I was able to get about 15 feet with a good transmission, so should I slow down as much as possible or use longer antennas? Is it any relation about speed/antenna and distance?
Sorry Guys, I just found my problem: “Software Bug”. It really seemed to be a hardware problem to me because of the working when near failing when far, but after a fine debuging I found the culprit…
