Trace width vs. Current Rule of thumb

I’m wondering if there is a rule of thumb for determining trace width given the amount of current. I have a line which may have 1 - 1.5 Amps.

For high current stuff, i go for as wide as physically possible.

And for a really high current, i sometimes up the copper weight…
