I am trying to get a micro SD card shield to work on my Arduino Mega https://www.sparkfun.com/products/12761. I see that the TransmogriShield https://www.sparkfun.com/products/retired/11469 is a way to use this shield with my mega and stock libraries but it is retired and I am not sure what the replacement is. Can someone tell me what part replaces this component and how I can use it with the SD shield to make it work with the Mega?

Unfortunately there isn’t a replacement for the TransmogriShield, but there is an easier solution to using the microSD Shield with a Mega.
The Mega puts it’s SPI lines that are used to communicate with the SD card in a different place than an Uno. Since the shield was designed to be used with an Uno, the connections for SPI are in the wrong place. The easiest way to fix this would be to solder a [2x3 header to the bottom of the shield to connect the SPI lines on the Mega’s ICSP header to the shield.
