Triad Spectroscopy Sensor - UV Led Safety

The spec sheet for the AS7265x ultraviolet LED states the following:

"Depending on the mode of operation, these devices emit highly concentrated non visible ultraviolet light which can be hazardous to the human eye. Products which incorporate these devices have to follow the safety precautions given in IEC 60825-1 “Safety of Laser Products”.

Does anyone know if the UV LED, as implemented in the AS7265x, hazardous to the human eye? If so, what are the recommended safety precautions.

To prevent eye damage, wear approved UV safety glasses when there is any chance of looking directly into the (possibly reflected) beam from the UV LED. Proceed similarly with laser diodes, but be sure that the glasses are appropriate for the respective light wavelength.

Is there any risk to damaging the skin, if the light is to be shone onto the skin? Is there any risk to pregnant women and children? I am assessing its safety in a public installation. Thank you.

We have no known concerns…but I wouldn’t pound any living thing with any steady wavelength light for extended periods (think sunburn)…but this product would likely need to be nearly touching skin for that to be a factor
