Triggering an analog motion film camera

Hello!

I am very new to the servo world. I have a decent idea of how to accomplish this, but I am wondering if any of the pros here could provide any insight. My goal is to be able push (and hold) an existing physical button on a 16mm motion film camera that rolls the film then stops it when the physical button is released.

This is likely a pretty simple mechanism, but does any one have any pointers on how to make something small and light weight that can do this? powered by battery? Bonuses would be being able to trigger this wirelessly and to be able to press a button once (triggering the physical camera button down) then pressing the button again (to release the physical button on the camera).

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Thanks,

Adam

One possibility would be the Wireless Motor Shield: https://www.sparkfun.com/products/14285, that uses Xbee’s to communicate wirelessly.
