Dear All,

Is it possible to use the Ultrasonic Sensor - HC-SR04 to sense product material which is passing through a stainless steel pipe to avoid drilling this pipe to insert capacitive sensor? Can Ultrasonic Sensor - HC-SR04 pass through the stainless steel material?

No. Sound waves just reflect from the pipe surface, regardless of what is inside the pipe.

A microphone might be able to detect the sound of material passing through the pipe.
