Unable to upload sketches to Arduino WiFi rev2

I got a new wifi rev2 and was able to upload a few sketches to it and mess with it a bit. after a few different example uploads, it started throwing the error below and won’t let me upload any new sketches to it. I can still open the serial port and receive data from the uploaded sketch (it’s not hogging the serial port, slow enough to stop and only prints a few lines of text). There was an old thread here on the Arduino forums https://forum.arduino.cc/t/error-upload … hes/634081 with the same issue that got closed without any solid solutions. I’ve tried uploading on Windows, Mac OS X, and the web editor and all throw the same error. I have also tried burning the bootloader using the IDE and it throws the same error. I was hoping that someone might have any ideas that I haven’t tried yet before I need to send it back for a new one.

Error while burning bootloader.

It looks like your Arduino installation / active directory has gotten confused…happens every now and then - here are the steps to fully remove the IDE https://support.arduino.cc/hc/en-us/art … rduino-IDE , then just re-install and try again

I uninstalled and reinstalled the IDE and all Arduino data twice on a Windows and then tried with a new install on a Mac and then tried again with Arduino’s web editor. All produce the same error.
