Uno and Music Maker - Sketch only works when loading from flash drive not from hard drive

In the many years I have been using arduino board, this is the strangest thing I have seen.

I can load the same sketch from both a flash drive and hard drive but the same file only works when it is loaded from the flash drive. When I run it from the hard drive it hangs. This is really weird. Has anybody else experienced this?

No, we haven’t seen that…what music maker are you using? Also, it might help if you share the code
