I have been required to make a ‘voice interactive/command music player’ for a University project however to be quite frank I am struggling to find what equipment to purchase and how to make the system.
It is as simple as for example “CD MUSIC BOX; PLAY” and the CD will play
“USB MUSIC BOX; PAUSE” and the USB player will pause etc
It’s as simple as that…but I am really struggling to even think of where to begin. Any help or direction would be a massive boost as like I said; I am really struggling and have little experience in making these kind of projects.
Thanks for your time guys! Hopefully you can provide any helpful feedback or weblinks that will assist me with this crazy project.

IIRC Windows has some voice commands built-in. But that's too easy. I've seen limited voice recognition and command done on an Arduino ! But that's pretty limited. I'd guess that a good system could be built off any of the SoC boards; RPi, Edison, pcDuino, etc.
Google is your friend. Google voice recognition+[your choice above].

Hedley Lamarr: You said rape twice.
Rapist: I like rape.
Taggart:[Chuckles] He’ll do.
Hedley Lamarr: Charming. Sign right here.
