Just wanted to let people know of an awsome simple to use usb controler that supports all fat file systems. use a usb flash drive to store data. support SD cards as well
there’s a similar one from FTDI
i like it a lot because you can also do things like copy from one USB device to the other, plus lots of GPIO pins and its programmable as a standalone micro (very limited in general purpose functionality) but good enough.
Only problem is they havn’t yet released the compiler, and that it will be a commercial compiler when its released (i.e. $$$)
The TI [TUSB3410 looks like a nice easy to use chip too. It’s an 8052 core, so there are tons of free and cheap dev tools you can use for it.](http://focus.ti.com/docs/prod/folders/print/tusb3410.html)
