USB motion Detector ?

Hello All,

I am here to ask a quick question.

Are there any short range(5inches) Motion Detection device for computers(US available? I need to write a software which detects motion and need to be able to capture that in a C# application and take an appropriate action. If you know of any, can you please let me know.
