or preferable like your existing wall warts, just with a USB connector on the end. This would allow a device to be made, which could take power from USB if connected to a PC, or from a wall wart if not connect to PC without the extra hole/connector for a standard 3.5mm connector. This would simplify the PCB as well.

Mouser has one which is mini USB , I was thinking more a Type B (?), the one which looks like a house !

well, there are inexpensive USB A to B cables so I would think with that and the adapter you showed, you would be good.
I’d consider USB mini instead of A or B. A number of cell phones are using USB mini for their power jack and you can buy the rechargers for $10-15 new. I know that the rechargers deliver better than 100mA as my blackberry gives me a “not enough current” warning when I plug it into a computer (but not with the recharger). I sure wish every one moved to USB Mini as it would greatly simplify charging - just have one kind of adapter.
