the eval board for venus (http://www.sparkfun.com/products/10921) has the venus flash version.
The question is: does it save the settings (I mean update rate, nmea output sentences, baud rate, etc)?
I would like to program these paramenters one time only.

Hi Gustavo!
You can make it save the settings.
If you are using the GPS Viewer software to comunicate with the module and you send a binary message you can select either “update to SRAM” or “update to SRAM and flash”. If you select the latter Venus will save the settings.
If you are configuring your venus manually via UART make sure that the attribs byte is set accordingly:
0x00 update to SRAM
0x01 update to SRAM and flash
