VLSI VS1000 Audio Module

I’ve been reading about the VS1000 module and my puny brain is filling up with project ideas. It seems to be a very affordable, powerful OGG player that can work on it’s own or be triggered by a microcontroller via serial. It has a little onboard flash memory and a teeny little microSD slot.

Right now I only see it available for sale in the US from Propellerpowered, but it can be bought in quantity from VLSI [here.
