Voice Changer

I want to make a voice changer to sound like Darth Vader and use with my costume. I have found people using adufruit wav shield with a arduino to make a voice changer. My question is, is there a smaller wav shield to use say with an arduino nano or is there something else better than a shield? I’m try to get the size down small as I have to carry it on person and hide in in my costume.
