Volume Control with WIG-11125

I plan to use the WIG-11125 board (uses the WTV202SD chip) in a custom playback product. The version available from Sparkfun does not permit use of the volume + and - buttons except through a microcontroller. That’s beyond my abilities, plus I probably don’t have room for any extra boards inside.

I’m happy to pay someone to show me how to wire up a volume control without using any other boards, just a potentiometer.

If that’s not possible, then I’m also happy to pay someone to set up a turn-key serial controller (Arduino board?) that I could quickly and easily duplicate without further technical assistance.

It’s rather easy to put in your own Arduino based controller. Just search barebones Arduino and copy the schematic into your design.

On page 20 of the [WTV020SD datasheet it shows how to put in a knob volume control.

(Be sure to get a “log” or “audio taper” 10K pot.)

The chip by itself only has 8 volume levels, even with uP control.](http://dlnmh9ip6v2uc.cloudfront.net/datasheets/Widgets/WTV020SD.pdf)
