VS1002 Breakout Board sine test

Hi everybody,

I bought the VS1002D breakout board but so far i am not lucky with it. I connected an ATMeag8 and did try to do a sine test, as in the example code for that board.

I tested all wiring and i can see data going into the board when i watch the SI line on the scope. The only response so far from the board (except that the LED is ON  is, that i hear a little (environmental) noise after startup, that disappeares after hardware reset of the board - so the output seems to be muted on reset as it should be.

How can i do furhter tests / does anyone know details about the “pin test” ? How can I be sure that the board is ok, the crystal is ok etc.? On the board there’s 3V supply voltage connected, Pins So to DREQ (1-6 on JP2) to the AVR, DCS and RX are pulled up to 3V.

Thank you for any ideas / Maybe i made a stupid little thing wrong.
