want manufacturer and device id

hi,

i want to write code to know the manufacturer and device id of

serial E2PROM (M95256_WMN6T).

i know we have to read the data from specific address in E2PROM.

i tried to find it in datasheet, i visited ST website but couldn’t find it.

i just found out that the newer version of these type of serial e2prom support this, but couldn’t find out for this

does anybody has idea about this .

I didn’t think that SPI devices had builtin manufacturer/device IDs… the host is just supposed to know what’s connected to each chip-select it has. the datasheet doesn’t have any information for this,

i think i should drop the idea of getting the manufacture id for this

but

the newer versions of these E2PROM, support few command which return the manufacture id when requested
