wav trigger - linear or log potentiometer for volume control via arduino?

i plan to use 3 10k pots for track volume control and 1 for master volume control.

should i be using linear (B) type or logarithmic (A) type for this type of control input? my inclination is A as these are volume knobs, but maybe the wav trigger already does some kind of compensation for handling linear (B) type input value curve ( and A type would create a wacky response? )

thanks, hope i’m not embarrassing myself with this question

Your ears perceive sound logarithmically so a log potentiometer would be the best choice but even a regular potentiometer would work, it just won’t adjust sound in quite the same way as you would expect it too.
