Hello Sparkfun Forum,

I am a new-media artist and 12th grade digital arts educator. I am just wrapping my head around all the many potentials of DIY electronics. I want to make an art piece for a show on the experience of life in the Digital Age but I am not sure it is possible. I want to make a wristband that runs on batteries and is as streamlined in design as possible that glows/lights up when the wearer approaches another human.

Do you think this is a possible project? If so, do you have recommendations on how I could pursue it?

I doubt this is possible. Wristband aside, the question to ask is: how can you use electronics to discriminate a human from everything else, at a distance?

An additional problem for a wristband would be discriminating the presence of a human wearing it from the presence of another human.
