Hi,
I am not able to understand the schematic for the wind anemometer. What does the circuit for the 2 pins of the anemometer look like? The diagram in the document only shows it being connected to the wind vane. The outer pins of the wind vane have a complete circuit diagram but the anemometer does not.
Thanks

Hi Paree,
The datasheet doesn’t have a diagram for the anemometer, but it has enough information to understand how it works.
The cup-type anemometer measures wind speed by closing a contact as a magnet moves past a switch. A wind speed of 2.4km/h causes the switch to close once per second.
It’s nothing more than a contact closure. This means the contact closes and you get a short circuit between the pins once per second at a wind speed of 2.4km/h.
