What am I doing wrong - EB-85A

I have an EB-85A operating in WAAS DGPS mode and it shows very little “wandering” using the Tracking View of GPS Locator Utility V2.61.

All is well -

But whin I move the EB-85A say 30 meters from from it’s initial resting position, it takes several minutes for the tracking indicator to finally show the new position.

The Lat. and Long. readings in the Terminal View also show this delay.

What am I doing wrong, or, is this normal operation for this GPS?

Perhaps its just losing a 3D fix, which I’ve found to be common with many receivers.

Are you outputting both GPGGA and GPRMC messages?

The GPS is outputting both the GPGGA and GPRMC sentences.

It is not loosing the 3D fix as the Quality Indicator is always 2 (Differential GPS FIX) in the GGA sentence and Status of Position Fix in the GPRMC sentence is A ( Data Valid ).

The latitude and longitude in both sentences change slowly to the new position.

???

Isn’t it taking into consideration that you are at a fixed position, therefore averaging your position through time?

If you wanted real time posisitonning you would probably get a lot more drift
