I have a project idea and I want to use Xbee so that I can attempt to complete it in this lifetime. I know nothing about this area.
In simple terms, I want to send a signal from a sensor to a wrist receiver within a distance of approximately a mile. Just a signal that says an event happened, which would trigger another event on the wrist. There may be up to 4 sensors.
Do I need an Arduino for each Xbee module? That would be extremely cost prohibitive. Or is the Arduino simply to program the Xbee?
