What type of “enclosure” is this? I wanted to google them to see how much the cost and who sells them, but with out a name, I’m at a dead end.
It seems to be a heatshrink(?) tube? Maybe potted? Maybe not?
Who sells these?
And what are they called?
It seems like a cheap way to go. Yes?
I was thinking of using large 1" heatshrink for a project, but this looks better and thicker.

Looks like a piece that was never meant as an enclosure. Some type of rubber bar end that the they just put the components in and filled it with potting compound. Maybe Mcmaster-Carr will have something.
Actually, doing a quick search through McMaster-Carr, the ‘pliable vinyl caps’ look very much like what you want.
Look for Caplug. They have all sorts of things like this,

Interesting, MC has Shrink To Fit caps as well. Basically thick heat shrink tubing with a closed end.
