Will 3.3v drive a SPLC780A based LCD?

I have a LCD based on SPLC780A chip (actually they say SPLC780A or KS0066) and I need to interface it with MSP430. The LCD is 5v and MSP is 3.3v. Now since I am only going to write to the LCD, I thought I could get away with it if the SPLC780A will take 3.3v (or let’s say above 3v) as a High. Problem is, I can’t find a specification for the SPLC780A anywhere. Does anyone have experience? Can it be done, a direct connection from MSP to such LCD module?

Thanks

OK I think I answered my own question and the answer is probably 2.2v…

If going by these two links:

I wonder, if it would be a good idea to clamp down these lines with zeners just in case some 5v sneaks on to them by chance…
