Being a Computer Tech, Ham Radio Operator and also working for my dad’s remolding Business we have to Deal with finding Circuits in Big houses which turns out to be a 2 person job well i would like to see a device that operates over the RF band for finding circuits. Dad and I have used the tracers that you can buy at your local home store but they will 9 times out 10 give you a false match because they send the signal over the wire back to the panel and make it really hard to find the right breaker.
is there a way to make a tracer that when plugged in to the outlet or adapted to a light bulb socket that when it has power it will transmit a tone over RF to a receiver. then when you find the right breaker it will stop transmitting.
