I haven’t seen such. You do know, I’m sure, about the Maxstream (Digi) APIs on the XBee side. One for the wireless serial port mode, one for Hayes Modem AT commands and one for Binary packets to/from. And you must use RTS/CTS for flow control. These exclude the use of ZigBee.
I’ve written a large VB program that implements a simple network layer protocol with error detection/correction, lost packet detection, encryption and so on. But I cannot publish it.

i am a newbee to this… running 5 nodes of xBee (ZNET 2.5) in AT mode (works fine) and is now trying out the API mode. i have not seen the Digi software API… sorry but i find there site a little hard to navigate 
could you pls point me to the downloads…
(ZNET 2.5 API mode binary packets) i mainly want to set and sense I/Os on the modules…
