Xbee Series 1- Easy? Ha!

Hi

I need help. I am having a terrible time getting my xbee series 1. I know they’re supposed to be plug and play but mine are like a family on the Jerry Springer show.

I’m afraid I’ve jacked up the settings with x-ctu enough that I cannot get them to plug and play ever again. I’ve searched the internet for a How to Guide but all I keep finding is information for xbee series 2.

I’m attempting to wirelessly connect an arduino to a moisture sensor.

Could anyone direct me to a good xbee SERIES 1 how to guide or walk me through the process?

I am thoroughly dissapointed.

They are easy for me! But then, I’ve worked with them for a long time. There are lots of tutorials to be found.

Tell me about the moisture sensor and I’ll suggest how to proceed.

But step 1 is to learn the basic concepts of the many ways they can be configured. Start with them connected to a PC, before a microprocessor.

Two of them; two USB / serial ports.
