Xbee Shield Arduino Uno XCTU

Hello everyone,

excuse my english in advance, I will try to be clear through all this post.

I’m currently working on a project which use the technologie of the XBEE S2C (Zigbee protocol) and I’m looking for to communicate through XCTU monitor. To do so, I’m using Arduino connected with SPARKFUN Xbee Shield. As precise in the Sparkfun’s guide, bypassing the Arduino Uno could be down by using a jumper on 5V+ and Reset Pins.

But during the search step of XCTU, none device has been found.

Does anyone get the same problem or have any solution to this.

Thanks you in advance for your advice.

You need to load the serial pass through sketch on your Arduino for XCTU to be able to access the XBee through your Arduino. See the [urlhttps://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/xbee-shield-hookup-guide]hookup guide for more details.

Thanks for your reply Chris. But as indicated it’s possible to bypass the Arduino with a simple jumper connected on pin (5V) et pin (Reset) to configured through XCTU.

Yet when I’m doing it, nothing happen on XCTU and no Xbee has been detected.

Do you thing the only way is to load “Bypass through Arduino” sketch ?

Thanks in advance.

The other alternative is to put the XBee on an [XBee Explorer USB and configure it in XCTU on that. Once configured, you can put it back on the XBee Shield.](https://www.sparkfun.com/products/11812)
