Xbee Shield without header leg.

I was soldering headers onto an XBee shield (WRL-12847) I messed up with soldering a leg onto the SCL hole. When I used my solder vacuum, I accidentally snapped the leg off. If I don’t attach any Qwicc systems to my board, and I don’t use the SCL or SDA pin, will I still be able to use my XBee?

(Sorry but I can’t include a picture because there was an error. Sorry!)

Greetings, thanks for reaching out via the forums. We are aware of the attachment issue and we are working on a solution.

I do not think that you require i2c in order to use you Xbee module unless you are trying to interface with an i2c device. Serial works just fine if the parts can communicate via serial.

Hope this helps.
