Hi guys, i have puchased a pair of series 2 xb24-z7wit-004 modules. can anyone suggest me how i could get started with them to have a mesh network???

Read the XBee documents downloadable from Digi International.

But with only two RF modules you can’t have a ‘mesh’ network.

Check out our book Building Wireless Sensor Networks. Its actually really good and goes through getting your XBees set up, using the inputs/outputs etc. and its all on the Series 2 modules
