Xbee24 help plz

ok so i have 2 xbee24’s and 2 shields:

and i hooked one xbee up to this shield that way in the picture except i had the tx from the shield to the tx on my arduino same with the rx.

now when i was updating the first xbee the green LED stopped blinking so i took it off and made sure it wasnt the shield… its not then i used the same shield to update the other xbee without any problems now its stopped woking when i was updating it so im thinking i may have bricked it.

i need this fixed soon and any help will be appreciated

I don’t understand what you are trying to do and what is not working. Could you explain in better detail?

ok well my first xbee isnt working it was wroking intill i updated the firmware adn then stopped in the process and now when i plug the xbee in with that same shil in the picure the green led wont falsh meaning the xbee is dead i looked up on it and ineed to reseet it but im not suer how to do that with the shield i have

Where you trying to update the firmware in the XBee module using X-CTU?

Or were you trying to update the firmware in the Arduino?

If the XBee which firmware version number was in the module and which firmware version did you try to load?

There are two different hardware version of XBees and four different Protocols. Some are not interchangeable.

Have you read any of the threads here in this forum on firmware upgrades and what to do if the XBee becomes non-responsive?
