315 Mhz vs 434 Mhz

What are the advantages and/or disadvantages between the 315 MHz and the 434 Mhz RF Link Transmitters and Receivers available from SFE?

Also, can someone confirm the supply voltage required for either of the 4800 bps receivers? The data sheet(http://www.sparkfun.com/datasheets/Wire … RX3400.pdf) says 4.5V-5.5V. but the KLP_Walkthrough(http://www.sparkfun.com/datasheets/RF/K … hrough.pdf) shows 3.3V-6V.

It depends on the country where they are used. For instance, 434 MHz is legal in the UK.

315 will have better penetration into non metal structures, but the antenna is longerby 25%. 434 is more line of sight.
