RFM22B - why only 433MHz sold by SFE?

The RFM22B can be purchased with a part number suffix for 433, 868, 915MHz.

It seems SFE sells only the 433MHz module.

In North America, the 915MHz band is much preferrable to 433MHz because of the FCC regulations for 433MHz. In 433, the transmitter duty cycle and power are seriously limited to preclude interference. The transmitter duty cycle (transmissions per minute), is very low.

IIRC you can get 915Mhz from moderndevice.com.

They are in the NE USA and ship fast.

I’ve purchased RFM12 and JeeNodes from Modern Devices.

Just checked and didn’t see RFM22 on their web site.
