hello, i’m not too knowledgeable in the rf world so was hoping i can get some help here.
i’m looking to have a board made that will have 1 rf receiver and 6 rf transmitter to control it. the transmitter can have only one button on them, and with every key press, toggle a relay on and off on the control board.
would i need 6 transmitter/receiver pairs? or can this project be accomplished with a single receiver and 6 transmitter, if so, would you have any recommendations on implementation?
this is to control a potential product i’m looking into making.
looking to have 6 separate “key fob” style single button transmitters and one single receiver board that will control the relays when detected from the corresponding transmitter
correct, actually for simplicity of the the thread i said 6 relays however it will be 18 relays, each input will control a group of 3 of the output relays
Why not take a moment to describe EXACTLY what you want the system to do. Then you might be able to get some good advice. Necessarily, this includes how much power (at what voltage and amperage, DC or AC) the relays are expected to switch.
because it is not relevant to the question, why would i give you all the specs of the project when i’m just asking about the rf switching system? whats on the other end of the relay is not of any importance :?
Each transmitter and the receiver could be controlled by an MCU. Each transmitter would send a unique ID code that would be detected by the receiver’s MCU and the appropriate relays could be energised.
