wireless transmitter+receiver pair

Hello

I’m looking for a simple, one-way, wireless transmitter+receiver set to function as a remote switch,

but without needing a controller (such as Arduino).

Any ideas?

TIA

MartyK

If you’re looking for dirt simple, the items below might work for you. There’s no programming, just connect them up and they should just work.

  • - [Simple RF T4 Receiver - 315MHz Toggle Type
  • - [[Keyfob 4-Button RF Remote Control - 315MHz](https://www.adafruit.com/product/1095)
  • [/list]

Less simple but more flexible would be [XBee. You would need to download firmware to them and configure them to work the way you want and that can be a bit tricky but you won’t need an arduino. Be prepared to read a lot of guides / manuals if you want to do anything more complex than just [line passing.](XBee 802.15.4 Digital Input/Output Line Passing | Digi International)](XBee 3 Module - PCB Antenna - WRL-15126 - SparkFun Electronics)](Keyfob 4-Button RF Remote Control - 315MHz : ID 1095 : Adafruit Industries, Unique & fun DIY electronics and kits)](Simple RF T4 Receiver - 315MHz Toggle Type : ID 1097 : Adafruit Industries, Unique & fun DIY electronics and kits)

    This earlier thread is similar:

    Linked there is this guide:

Note this relies on using the 802.15.4 firmware for XBee3.

    Thanks for these ideas.

The receiver looks good, but I don’t need a keyfob. I need a board-level transmitter (that’s what I meant by “pair”).

I couldn’t find any matching transmitters for this receiver.

You don’t want a keyfob, but you don’t want to use a “controller” like Arduino.

What does “board-level transmitter” mean to you, and how to you imagine using it?

I need it to switch something remotely.

    Anyway, I found it:

    Thanks for your help.

Ahhh, the keyfob, minus the buttons, case and battery holder.

    27Mhz !
