85 VAC TO 85 VDC

hello all. Can anyone of you suggest where I can get the 85VAC to 85VDC voltage regulator for my project? Am trying to build a customized power supply system for my personal use.

thanks!

Hello, I think you have to make a full-wave rectifier. Have you done that?

Did you find a 220 VAC to 85 VAC transformer, mentioned in your other post on the same topic?

my problem is the type of the diode that i should use in the full wave rectifier now. How can i do those calculations, also how do I know the size of the capacitors to smoothen the output?

You can either build a bridge by using 1N4007 diodes, or directly can use a bridge rectifier IC like this one: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1YJdV4o … 3KhPK/view

Regarding the capacitor, you may find this video helpful: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J9HsLWmtBnE

Your guidance was so amazing. I have fully implemented my project. Your video helped in the calculation of the capacitance required and selection of the best capacitors to use. I also came across another article about the full wave rectifier and how i should simulate it on proteus to confirm that actually it was a functional circuit. See the article on this link https://www.theengineeringprojects.com/ … oteus.html

this transformer is the problem. I have not come across such a transformer and therefore am actually struggling too much with the project. Can a 240 vac to 110 vac transformer be an option?
