ACS723 Output - AC or DC Voltage?

Hi,

I am planning to use this sensor to measure an 0-5A AC. Does this output an AC voltage? Or does it output a DC RMS voltage?

Hi bancelantoto,

The ACS723 outputs an analog voltage produced by an internal Hall effect sensor next to a copper strip. [This section of our Hookup Guide for both versions of this board will go into that in more detail.
