I’ve been bitten a few times by not checking if I’ve put a device label over a pad or a via, and the silk screen doesn’t get printed. Is there any way in Eagle to have the DRC check the silk screen layers to see if you have a label over a pad, via, or hole?
Greetings (No First name Supplied),
No. But not to worry most PCB houses photographicallybrennen:

subtract the pad and via layers so that silk-screen ink
doesn’t fill holes. Making the silk readable is the designer’s
job.
Comments Welcome!
I think I’m definitely moving to Eagle version 5. According to Eagle’s [“What’s new in version 5”, this feature now exists:
The DRC now reports an error if an object in the t/bPlace, t/bNames or t/bValues layer overlaps with an object in the t/bStop layer (provided these layers are active when the DRC is run).

Yes, but unfortunately this designer misses things occasionally. :x](CADSoft Finanzportal - CADSoft Finanzportal)
