I purchased the agXRP starter kit. It has a lot of parts to 3d print. All of the files are .gcode.3mf and I need .STL files. How can I get these files without purchasing additional conversion software?
Most of the files are STL, check the 2nd set here
The .bgcode ones were generated/are used by PrusaSlicer, which is free to use/download - you can convert the files to other output formats using that slicer
Yes, you can download the STL files from Printables as mentioned above.
@Wilkinson1956 can you please indicate what path you followed that resulted in only .gcode.3mf files? Want to make sure our resources are guiding people to the right places!
I clicked on the 3D printing files link on https://www.sparkfun.com/agxrp-starter-kit-beta.html
The website withthe STL files you sent me to is https://www.printables.com/model/1411123-agxrp-beta-educational-agriculture-automation-kit/files
An interesting twist, I missed scrolling down to see the list of what is included and if one were to study that, it would suggest but not very clearly that all the parts are included. The 3d printing file link is MUCH more prominent and since we are all tinkerers, not a big deal to have to print some parts for a project. It might be good to put a sentence in the intro description that states all the components to build what is pictured is included in the kit other than the water bottle. I confirm that because my order arrived and to my delight, all the plastic parts are there so actually no files needed for now.
thanks for the help.
Jim
Thanks for the feedback, I’ll pass this on!
