Hi all,
I’ve been designing an Arduino based PLC with integrated XBEE socket. It is based on an ATMEGA1284P processor, instead of the popular ATMEGA328P. The PCB works properly on the table and I’m planning to extend it to field applications.
I’m stuck on one issue: the XBEE socket.

As you could appreciate in this image, it is just in front of a led bar. Most of the DIGI XBEE modules fit there, but others like thouse from Roving Networks are too large. The only alternative that I’ve found seems to place a higher socket. My 2-mm socket is this:

It’s good, but I would like to try a higher one. I just need to get 2 extra mm.
Can you help me?
Regards,
SAM
