Hi,
I am using a D2523T here at 3.3V. Together with the U-Center software it worked just fine (even got a good fix indoors, impressive). Current consumption was approx 100mA during acquisition and 40mA when it had a fix. After connecting the VBAT pin to a backup battery (small 2.4V NiMH cell) and trying to get the module to boot at 4800Bd instead of 9600 by using the configuration view of the U-center software, it suddenly draws 100mA more… so 200mA during acquisition and 140mA when it has a fix. (Fortunately it still gets a fix so that seems to work ok.) The datasheet states a max supply current of 150mA.
I disconnected the backup batt but the problem still persists. Any clues?
thanks in advance!
