Nice & small.

I saw this at the Embedded Systems Conference (and said “Hi” to Owen). Nice unit. Won’t be out in mass production for a couple of months, though.
I shook hands at the Trimble booth as well. I finally got to put faces with all the reps I’ve ordered from on the phone. Like an idiot I asked if they were using the SiRF III chipset. They nearly kicked me out of the booth  (SiRF and Trimble are direct competitors)
Anyway - it looks like a good unit. Nothing new to it though. It’s basically a more sensitive Lassen, with two UARTs (very handy) and SMD reflowable (good for mass production and automotive applications).
Don’t worry. We’re already in line for eng samples and production runs. They told me July/August, but I don’t believe anyone these days. Nordic burned us for 5 months, Telit is going on a 6 month delay (for even the basic GM862-Quads).
