Any news with IOIO for Android ??

I’m not yet really sure if this is any good, any updates regarding blue-tooth capability? or is it totally hopeless?

still looking for any update… i’m also interested to know more about this.

I’ve read some articles and I think there’s more that can be done, though having the devices wired doesn’t seem so appealing to me

but still, this can be very usefull! if it works with Android 1.5 and up then maybe further collaboration to make a better gadget experience would be so exciting!

and all other apps can be developed furthermore.

and will there be any other release aside from this one?

there were some rumours about it but no dates yet

You know what,

Personally I wouldn’t control a submarine or an airoplane over blue-tooth or Wi-fi especially if the controller and the IO hardware are in the same box.

And the thing about USB is that it is complicated, no matter how much you test it, complexity = unreliability.

It is made to talk to external hard disks and cameras and PCs…

And the plugs are non standard, they vary from device to device…a flimsy little multi-pin nightmare… I wouldn’t want that in my autonomous submarine either.

So here we go:

  1. The cheapest (and slowest)

but possibly the most reliable and easiest.

…way to talk to any phone (Android or I-phone).
