i everybody i am a brand new in arduino word. i have one question i hope you guys will help me. In the arduino ethernet shield schematic, you have TCENTRE, RCENTRE and GND signals into RJ45 jack. What are they corresponding pin numbers in datasheet( 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8)? are they very important?
I assume you’re talking about this? [this?
It is strange that they don’t give the pin numbers for the [SI-40138 Ethernet jack on that schematic. If you have one of these shields, you could just trace which pins are connected to where; if not, you should be able to figure it out from the high-resolution photos on the [Sparkfun page.
PS: in the future, please post links to the products you’re referring to if you want people to help…](Arduino Ethernet Shield - DEV-09026 - SparkFun Electronics)](http://www.aquaphoenix.com/hardware/ledlamp/reference/si-40138_data_sheet.pdf)](http://arduino.cc/en/uploads/Main/arduino-ethernet-shield-05-schematic.pdf)
The datasheet for the magjack can be found [here
Pinout is as follows:
1 TX+
2 TX_CENTER_TAP
3 TX-
4 RX+
5 RX_CENTER_TAP
6 RX-
7 N/C
8 GND
The LEDs are on their own 4 pins; the pinout of these is shown on the datasheet. A=anode, K=cathode.

thank you everybody for all.
i saw ARMinator comment about the magjack ethernet connector (SI-40138) pinout. He told that it was un inconsistent with the placement of pin 1 in datasheet. unfortunally there’s no end for this story. Finally, is SI-40138 pinout on datasheet right or not?
