I’ve wanted to plug my arduinos into breadboards for a while, but it
hasn’t been possible due to the odd pin spacing. However, now that sparkfun
carries offset headers…
-
I used a dremel cutoff disc to remove most of the existing header material
-
pulled the plastic away from the pins which separated each pin
-
applied solder to each pin and removed each pin
-
used solder wick to remove excess solder and expose each pin hole
-
using an existing shield to properly space and align each header
One more nice thing is that if I don’t like how it works out, I can always clip the headers off and it is back to normal.
