Are there still problems with the Olimex JTAG-ISO and IAR?

First post here, so hi 8)

Looking to migrate from the PIC over to the MSP430 so I’m looking at development tools.

I’ve read that there are a lot of problems with the Olimex JTAG-ISO and IAR Kickstart? Has anyone got this sucessfully working now?

What other JTAG (USB) programmers can you recommend? Are there any serial programmers that I could make myself?

I have the MSP-JTAG-TINY, it works OK with IAR and CrossWorks.

Thanks for the info, it’s good to know that one works as I was considering it also.

Are there any other tools/books/resources you would recommend? For the begginner (in MSP430s).

Just read the data sheets, it’s all in there. TI has plenty of example programs. The Yahoo MSP430 forum is very helpful.
