arm sbc for small production run

Hi

We generally use small x86 (AMD LX800) SBC for our products but have tried out a number of platforms over the last 2 years. We looked at arm boards and they were quite expensive for what they did and the whole issue with cross compiling was a pain. However, we want to look at this again as it seems the amount of RAM on these board is going up. However, all these boards have a load of peripherals on them.

We want just serial, network and and least 2 USB host ports. SD or CF for the OS and at least 64 MB ram to run Debian linux or openwrt. Has any one got advice?

The Development Board Atmel SAM9-L9260 looks about right but again it has headers for loads of peripherals. Also at over 100 Euro, it seems expensive.

Is there a board like that that I could use, or is it possible to get a processor board and get a periperal board designed.

Thanks

Embedded Artists has some nice little LPC2000 processor boards that are designed to plug into larger boards. I’ve got a couple of their LPC2148 boards and one of their LPC2292 SO-DIMM boards. I’ve also got the matching prototyping boards.
