Hi all,
I need to get a proto/dev board for the following ARM uP
“1891 SAM7s 56”
I’m not familier with the ARM processors, so I’m not sure the exact board to get…
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Hi,
You should be more specific with what you want to do with it. The AT91SAM7S256 is an good all rounder with USB, CAN bus, SPI, I2C, etc. It’s best to choose between the an LPC from Philips or SAM from Atmel since these are these have the most support software for ARM7. For instance I choose rather for an LPC2148 instead of the allmost similar AT91SAM7S256, cause there more software was avialable for this device regarding USB. If you would want an all rounder then I would advise you to choose between an AT91SAM7S256 or LPC2148. The only thing is that they pretty much don’t support is Ethernet.
Have fun

Yes , many uses of EVB because of bad software/firmware
criipples MCU .
If we had powerful s/w , we could simply use MCU at high
level , for fun , get on with our lives …
Everything , starting with ARM Loader , must be
improved , so we can get on with higher level
programming .
I am doing a new Loader with a new
Forth . It will eliminate Linux .
Forth extends from loader , into
PSRAM_SIZE_8 .
Notice my notation ! Its unambigous and
proceedural and ordinal .
It is temporary , because my Forth
will use true GUI , and no text .
Program computers with
No Text and No English …
BTW M$ OutHouse_Express was the only
method to pass Virus .
Switching to WebMail stopped all Virus .
Thanks 8) Bill Gates , for Virus .
Hotmail , Yahoo , Google sell your email address

All advertizers do this !
People who deny , are the very ones making
the money !!
Stay tuned , soon free ARM S/W
