Artemis OLA & F9P GPS Module

Greetings.

We are trying to get our Artemis OLA to log at 1 hz exactly so we can submit the UBX file in for opus but the issue we keep having is the logger records with incidentals. So instead of 1 second, its 1.001 second and throughout the data log that millisecond will drift occasionally.

Has anyone seen this issue or have a work around for it?

Best I can tell, the OLA polls the GPS over I2C and timing is determined by the firmware on the OLA. I think for what you’re trying to do you would need to log serial data from the UART on the F9P, that will be “live” data direct from the GPS and won’t have any timing issues that polling would cause.
